Ilona brings over 25 years of experience as a commercial lawyer.
Throughout her professional career across Australia and Asia Pacific, Ilona has held legal executive roles with private and public companies, including ASX-listed companies and dynamic high-growth start-ups.
Ilona has gained extensive experience in providing advice on corporate governance, managing teams across the globe through digital transformation, complex commercial transactions, mergers & acquisitions, as well as navigating high profile litigation and regulatory disputes.
Ilona also has strong expertise in the ethical, legal, and social considerations around sourcing, developing and promoting AI technologies having recently been named as one of 100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics ™️ in 2024. Ilona was recently recognised by Australasian Lawyer as an ‘Elite Woman’ of 2021, The Australian Legal 500 - GC Powerlist of 2023 and Top 100 Governance Professional in Australia in 2023, in addition to being named a Finalist of the Lawyers Weekly - Women in Law Awards - General Counsel of the Year 2024.
Ilona is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), has completed both a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Masters in Laws (LLM) and is admitted as Solicitor and Barrister to the NSW Supreme Court and High Court of Australia.
